CHIFF 'N CHATTER

The Diapason has lots of good ink for Cleveland Chapter: The cover is the Ruggles organ in the Lakewood Presbyterian Church chapel. Specifications are on p. 18, where Charlie writes a few columns on the organ, with more pictures, and Peg Limkemann gives her input.

Anne Wilson does it again: Trio, "Hatikva" (world premiere), Allegro agitato, Sostenuto e semplice, Whimsical. The Elysian Trio, at Baldwin-Wallace College on Sunday, January 28, 2001. Another coup! This editor suggested she write a double string quartet, or perhaps a piece for eight cellos. She has already done one for five cellos, (oh.) but that's an idea! Watch this space!

H. Leslie Adams has a new CD called Love Rejoices: Songs of H. Leslie Adams. It can be ordered from Amazon.com, where you enter Leslie's name in the search engine (either the general search or classical music) and it will show the title. It should also be available at Borders at Severance and Beachwood, and perhaps at Barnes and Nobel. It's at tower Records (and towerrecords.com.) The list price of $16.99 is discounted on most of these sources. 'Way to go, Leslie!!

Todd Wilson, director of music and organist at ClevelandÕs Church of the Covenant, has been appointed organ curator of the Cleveland Orchestra. [Cleveland Plain Dealer, Sunday, January 28, 2001, p. 3 I] Congratulations, Todd!

Looking ahead: Put Sunday, April 22, 2001, on your calendar for our Children's Choir Festival at 4 PM at First Baptist. And plan to attend the May 6 Annual Dinner at Church of the Saviour! (CN)
